I really appreciated the cultural references, albeit I did find it a little bit of a learning curve as I was reading it. It does feel very Young Adult, but was still enjoyable to read and kept me reading to find out what happened (kind of reminded me of Good Girl’s Guide to Murder). It was a nice crime drama book with a strong, outspoken female protagonist with strong links to her indigenous life.
