Moroccan Tea Summer Drinks

Summer is heating up and we are always looking for healthy ways to keep staying hydrated fresh. One of our faves both personally and for entertaining is tea iced. We love to add a creative twist to our classic Moroccan Royal Mint Tea recipe with fresh citrus, berries and herbs. Give it a try and let us know what you think!

Moroccan Orange + Mint Iced Tea

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups water
  • 12-18g DEHIYA Moroccan Royal Tea Blend
  • 1/4 cup honey (adjust to taste)
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 cup mixed berries (such as raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the Moroccan mint tea bags (or loose leaf tea) to the water.
  3. Let the tea steep for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. While the tea is still hot, stir in honey until dissolved, adjusting the sweetness to your liking.
  5. Add the sliced orange and mixed berries to the tea, and allow it to cool to room temperature.
  6. Once cooled, transfer the tea and fruit mixture to a pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  7. Before serving, muddle some fresh mint leaves in each glass to release their aroma.
  8. Fill each glass with ice cubes and pour the chilled fruity Moroccan mint tea over the ice.
  9. Garnish with additional fresh mint leaves and a slice of orange or a few berries for a visually appealing presentation.

Moroccan Mint Arnold Palmer

Serves 8

Ingredients:

Iced Tea

  • 9-12g DEHIYA Moroccan Royal Blend
  • 4 cups water divided

Lemonade

  • 3/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 1/4 cups cold water

Instructions:

  1. Steep tea for 5-10 minutes in boiling water. Remove tea, pour tea concentrate into a pitcher, and add 2 more cups of cold water. Stir.
  2. In a separate container, combine lemon juice, sugar, and 3 1/4 cup cold water. Stir to dilute sugar until dissolved.
  3. Pour into pitcher with ice tea mixture and stir. Serve chilled.

Moroccan Mint + Pineapple Iced Tea

Serves 6

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups water
  • 12g DEHIYA Moroccan Royal Blend
  • 3 sprigs fresh mint
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 cups fresh pineapple juice
  • Juice of 1 lime or lemon

Instructions:

  1. Juice pineapple if using fresh pineapple.
  2. Bring 4 cups of water to a simmer in a large pot. Remove from heat and add DEHIYA Moroccan Royal Blend and fresh mint to steep for 5 minutes.
  3. Discard tea and mint, and pour cooled tea and honey into a pitcher and stir until honey dissolves.
  4. Add 2 cups water, pineapple juice, and lime/lemon juice to the pitcher and stir.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator before serving.
  6. Serve over ice and garnish with pineapple, lime/lemon slices, and fresh sprigs of mint.
